The HIV/AIDS Epidemic is still a serious problem in Nigeria. Over 4million Nigerians, the World’s third-highest numbers of people are infected with HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) & several thousands, have already died of AIDS. In 2000, it was estimated that one in every 23 Nigerians is infected with HIV, while over 300,000 infections and 200,000 deaths occurred.
